Iam building a system to measure water pressure on a closed loop system and also to measure water and air blown down to drain. The water pressure system works fine (i am using a pressure transducers) On the drain line i obviuosly cannot usea pressure transducer so i am using a rotary padel switch which works on the hall effect principle..Thiis iscausing me problems as i cannot seem to measure higher than 40hz on the threshold trigger in test mode. Input I5 stays high but once i go above 40hz the trigger does not count and therefore the input drops low (I have a seperate meter attached measuring frequency... as well).

You have to use input I3, I4, I5 or I6.

That are quick inputs, they are max 5 kHz, the other inputs max 4 Hz

I had the same problem in a similiar application. I solved it by using a 12/24RCo Logo (these have fast inputs for sure) and by using a optocoupler.

I think this has more to do with the input impedance of the logo.
